WEDDING
Hunt—Maden i The Palmerston North Baptist Church was the scene, on April 2, of the wedding of Rhoda, elder daughter of Mr. A. Maden, Rongotea, and Neil Alan, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Hunt, Bongotea. „ , . The Rev. 0. 8. Matthews officiated at the ceremony, assisted by the Rev. 0. H. Kendon. Sirs. C. S. Hamlin presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a model ankle-length frock of ivory satin and crepe lucretia with moulded hip-line. Her bouquet and satin court shoes were to match. Her embroidered, scalloped, silk net veil was held in place with sprays of orange blossom. . „,, , Miss Mildred-Maden, sister of the bride, and Miss Mary Hunt, sister of the bridegroom, acted as bridesmaids, and were dressed alike in azure blue ankle-length frocks of crepe felix with flared hip frills. They wore felt hats and satin shoes to match and carried bouquets to tone. The bridegroom was attended, by Air. A. Sanson, of Glen Oroua, as best man, and Mr. F. Thomas, of Hamilton, as groomsman. . The reception was held in the Baptist Schoolroom. Mrs. F. Siggelkow, of Nelson, aunt of the bride, acted as hostess and received the guegts wearing a cinnamon frock with hat to tone, and carrying a bouquet of autumn-tinted flowers. Mrs. W. I. Hunt, mother of the bridegroom, was dressed in black crepe-de-chine with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of red dahlias and r °Mr. and Mrs. N. Alan Hunt left later for Auckland, the bride travelling in a nigger brown frock with gold trimmings and brown velour coat with fur collar and cuffs and felt hat to match.
