APOLLO SINGERS

Saturday next marks the reappearance of Wellington’s musical society, the Apollo Singers. Their programmes depart from the stereotyped style of most male choirs and many novel effects are introduced at each concert. At this concert one of many notable items will be the famous “Pilgrims’ Chorus” from Wagner's “Tannhanser.” Miss Ava Symons will contribute violin solos, and Mr. Ernest Jenner, A.R.A.M., soloist with the Queen’s Hall Orchestra, London, will be solo pianist and accompanist. The prices of admission are of a popular nature, reserved seats being 3/- (plus tax), and unreserved 2/- (plus tax), and 1/-. The box plan opens at the Bristol Piano Co. at 9 a.m. on Wednesday next.
