WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

Stokes Valley Meeting The election of officers for the Stokes Valley Women’s Institute will not be held until next month. This decision was come to at the second annual meeting of the institute held recently. The annual report showed that the membership had doubled during the last twelve months. Since March, 1029, a League of Mothers’ Circle had been started, and the Taita Plunket Association had offered representation on the committee. The institute meetings of the year had been well attended. The president and secretary were appointed delegates to the annual provincial conference and plans for the coming year were discussed.
