LATE MR. E. REYNOLDS
Large Attendance at Funeral The esteem in which the late Mr. Edward Reynolds, of E. Reynolds and Co., was held, was testified to by the very large attendance at the funeral obsequies yesterday afternoon. Before the cortege left town, a short service was conducted by the Rev. James Baird at the mortuary chapel in Taranaki Street. The same minister officiated at the graveside. The chief mourners were: Messrs. F. Sinclair (brother-in-law), W. Reynolds (brother), and T. Clarkson (brother-in-law). The pall-bearers were old comrades of Mr. Reynolds on the cycling racing track, Messrs. N. Hall, amateur champion, 1886 to 1890; H Amos, amateur champion, 1896 to 1900; T. H. Oates, amateur champion, 1901 to 1903;, A. W. Thompson, champion road rider, 1897 to 1900, and W. B. Clarkson, professional champion, 1900 to 1902. The motor trade was strongly represented among the many personal friends of the deceased who were present. The floral tributes were profuse and beautiful.
