CAPSIZED CAR
Passengers Imprisoned TWO INJURED BADLY Interrupted Holiday Dominion Special Service. New-Plymouth, September 15. A holiday-bound car capsized between Waverley and Manutahi early this morning, and two of the three occupants received injuries, rendering immediate hospitrT treatment necessary. W. H. Moore, of Blenheim, suffered head and back injuries. W. Moore, of Hawera, his son, received chest injuries. Both were conveyed to the Patea Hospital. They are suffering the effects of acute shock, but their condition is not critical, although the exact extent of their injuries has not been determined. The other occupant of the car was Jack Jones, a former Welsh boxer, now of Hawera. He escaped with minor bruises.
The party was proceeding to Blenheim. The car was discovered lying upside down with the passengers imprisoned. Passers-by helped to extricate them. The car was damaged extensively.
