MANAIYATU WOMEN'S CLUB. Palmerston North. November 29. The Mnnawatu Women’s Chib held its annual meeting to-day, there being a good attendance. Miss McLagan was chairman, and the committee members were hostesses. Afternoon tea was served, and parcels containing garments to be distributed among the poor and needy were opened, the contents proving most useful. The annual report said that during the year addresses and displays, many of exceptional' merit and interest, were given to the club. A good attendance of members had been maintained, and the social advantage of regular meetings was appreciated. For the ensuing year an even keener interest in the club's meetings might be anticipated. There were 88 financial members. Sixty-eight, per cent, of the year's subscriptions had been paid out as benefactions. The financial position of the club was most satisfactory.. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: President, Mrs. A. J. Graham; vice-presidents,Hlesr dames L. H. Collinson. J. A. Nash. F. j. Nathan. J. IL Stevens. M. Aitchison; secretary, Mrs. J. Black; executive, Miss McLagan (chairwoman'), Mesdames G. I-laneox. IT. B. Free. J. B. Wilton. E. J. Leydon. — Royal, J. Dick, AV. Pearce, G. G. Campbell.
