MAGISTRATE’S COURT

POLICE CASES. Mr. T. B. McNeil. S.M., dealt with the police cases in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. .Tames Flynn, aged 45, was fined £l, the amount of his bail, for his second offence of drunkenness. Edith Hunt, aged 37. was fined £1 for her third offence of drunkenness within six months, and a like amount for the third breach of her prohibition order. In each case the default was fixed at seven days’ imprisonment. Leo Reginald Dennis, a butcher, aged 26, on two charges of stealing £1 and 5/from Alice Barrett respectively, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment on each charge, the sentences to lie concurrent. Accused had a substantial list of prior convictions.
