LOWRY BAY LAND

THE SKERRETT ESTATE SATURDAY’S SALE VALUES By reason of Its past associations and the appreciation of. land Talues generally on the eastern shore of the harbour, considerable Interest centred In the sale on Saturday at Lowry Bay, where Messrs. Finch, Webster, and Oswin offered at auction the well-known and beautiful home of the late Sir Charles Skerrett. The property, comprising approximately 4J acres with a 13-roomed residence, standing in beautifully laid-out grounds facing the beach at Lowry Bay, was offered for sale as a whole, but found no buyer; nor was there a buyer for the house and the one acre block on which it stands. The property was then submitted to auction in lots, and a splendid sale resulted in every lot being cleared except the house and its magnificent garden block of one acre and one section of 62ft. frontage facing the beach.
