BOXING

DONOVAN V. DOBLE. Both Donovan and Doble should feel flattered by the keen desire of patrons of boxing to see them in action on Friday. Except for a decision against him on a foul, Donovan has carried all before him since joining the professional ranks, just as he had done as an amateur. Doble has been meeting the best featherweights in Australia and is reported to have established himself as one of the hardest men to obtain a decision over. He has recently defeated such a wellknown boxer as Delaney, to whom he ha« conceded a fair amount of weight on two occasions. He arrived from Auckland yesterday morning, and after an excellent trip across reports himself as in the best of condition. Excellent preliminaries are promised.
