Armed Bandits in Melbourne.—A Press Association message from Melbourne states that the reign of terror by armed bandits continues. Hold-ups over the week-end totalled seven. In each case unescorted women were the victims, and in two cases at Moonee Ponds shots were fired to intimidate the victims. The proceeds in the majority of cases were small. “One war traffic only,*' with an arrow pointing to the right, fronts motorists at Fairview Terrace, Kelburn, as they travel the Raroa Road route to Karori, and if the direction Is followed motorists will find themselves perpetually “looping the loop,” returning via Plunket Street to the point where the misleading sign appears.
