WRESTLING

PROFESSIONAL CONTESTS AT AUCKLAND By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland. August 5. Two professional wrestling matches were decided in the Town Hall tonight. Tom Alley (Canada) defeated Walter Johansson (Finland) in four rounds by two falls to one. A large crowd took strong exception to the fall awarded to Johansson in the first round and counted out the referee. A three-round contest between Maranjan Singh and Charlie Pollard (Auckland) was won easily by the Indian, who secured a fall in the first round and was awarded a penalty fall in the third round because Pollard kept climbing through the ropes to escape the Dolcls.
