PRISONERS ESCAPE

BANISHED OPPONENTS OF FASCISTI Australian Press Association. (Rec. August 5, 7 p.m.) London, August 4. The “Daily Chronicle’s” Paris correspondent states that Signor Mussolini has lost three redoubtable prisoners who were banished to an arid island of the Liparl Group. They are Emilio Lussu, Professor Rosselli and Francesco Nitti, nephew of the ex-Prime Minister, who now Is in exile in Paris. They are all heroes of the war, but opposed to the Fascist! movement. They have been guarded with the utmost care by night sentries and patrol motor-boats, yet they managed to escape. The news is not allowed to be published in Italy, but it is generally known in Rome and has created a great sensation.
