NO CRIMINAL CASES AT PALMERSTON

Palmerston North, July 30.

When His Honour Sir. justice Smith opened a sitting of the Supreme Court at Palmerston Noi;th this morning, he was presented wjth a pair of white gloves, there being no criminal cases set down for the sitting. His Honour congratulated Palmerston North and the district on this fact, and mentioned that the last occasion when there had been no criminal cases, .was the February session, 1926.
