W.E.A. CLASS IN HORTICULTURE
A W.E.A. class In horticulture will commence next Friday night at 7.45 In the W.E.A. rooms, Trades Hall Building, 126 Vivian Street, when Mr. M. Davey, N.D.H. (New Zealand) of the Agricultural Department will begin a course of twelve lectures on “The Principles and Practice of Horticulture” An Interesting syllabus has been arranged to Include the study of soils, seeds and plants, fertilisers and manures. the vegetable and flower gardens, the orchard, shrubbery and glasshouses, roses, daffodils and chrysanthemums, common insects and fungi and their controls, and the use of implements in cultivation. The lectures will be Illustrated with lantern slides and all interested in gardening are invited to attend.
