CAMERON’S NEW RECORD

Christchurch, March 7. At a carnival at the tepid baths tonight W. Cameron (Wellington) reduced the New Zealand hundred metres record by 2 l-ssec. His time was 65 4-ssec. A. T. F. Stokes won the Canterbury championship for 220 yards, his time being 2min. 33sec., or 2sec. slower than his time in the Dominion championship. „ • At a meeting of the New Zealand Swimming Council the following records were passed:—100 yards intermediate girls’, 65 3-ssec., Peggy-Rob-ertson (Auckland) ; 100 yards men (fresh water), 56 4-ssec., I.
