DICTATOR AND FOREIGN CRITICISM Australian Press Assn.—United Service. Madrid, March 5. Following General de Rivera’s statement that he smelt petrol in foreign criticisms of the Spanish regime, in reply to further criticisms lias now semi-officially announced that the Government is defending the national interests by the nationalisation of industries from which the Treasury will benefit to the extent of fifty million pesetas, causing foreign profits proportionately to be reduced. He adds that he is confident the regime will overcome all attacks, foreign or internal.
