SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY

Mrs. J. Moore was hostess at Tuesday's concert at the Sailors’ Friend Society, when a programme consisting of a variety of items tendered to men jusfin, or just leaving, the port. Refreshments were dispensed. The performers were Mrs. Alfred Fortune, the Misses D. Seymour. V. Jones, P. Martin, J. Twist, and Mr. C. G. Chambers. The recalls were many. Mrs. A, Fortune was at the piano. “Facts for thinkers’’ was the subject chosen by Mr. J. Moore, missioner, for his temperance chat. Pledges followed. Competition prizes came from Miss Roeth, and were won after keen effort oh the part of the guests.
