DIET TRACK RACING

Preparations have progressed well for the opening of . Kilbirnie Stadium on Saturday night, when the first dirt track motor-cycle races in Wellington will be held. Clifton and Graham, the riders who have arrived from Australia, come witli considerable reputations, while Arrott. Allen, Morgan, Kilminster. and Wilkinson, who also are amongst the entrants. are well known as clever riders nt the grass track meetings of the Dominion. However, it is reported that even 'were the riders not of such a calibre the snort would be extremely exciting, and in Wellington it should attract not motorcyclists only, but also a very large section of tlie general public, and it seems not unlikely that all the 12,000 seats at the new stadium will be oecupied.when racing commences. Particular attention has been paid to the lighting of the track, so that no incident will be missed by the spectators. Tlie stadium is within easy reach of the city by road and tramcar, being situated on the right-hand side of the tramline from Kilbirnie to Miramar, and occupying the site of the former Association Park. The prices are reasonable, and seats may be reserved at Ned Perry’s, Manners Street. On Saturday afternoon one. should ring the stadium.
