A cottage tenanted by a- family named Archer near Devonport was burned down, and the bodies of the seven occupants, charred beyond recognition, were found in the ruins. The family consisted of Thomas Archer,’aged forty-nine, his wife, Olive,, aged thirty-five; two daughters, aged eleven and nine; and three sons, aged six, four, and ten months. The fire occurred early to-day; all the bodies were in, bed except that of the father, which was beside, the bed. _____
