No fewer than 1.000.000 street accidents, 40,000 of them being fatal, occurred in Britain in the ten years from 1918 to 1928. Dr. H. R. Friedlander, of Shanghai, and formerly of Auckland, was a passenger from Vancouver by the Aorangi Dr. Friedlander is a New Zealander, being the son of Mr. R. Friedlander, of Auckland. He left New Zealand In 1908 to study medicine in England, and when he graduated the war broke out. He served throughout the war. and in’ 1920 went to Shanghai, where he now has a large practice. He is visiting Auckland in the course of a world tour.
