QUOITS

The old English game of quoits is still indulged in by the Government Printing Office Committee. An excellent game was played yesterday at the annual picnic of the Printing Office staff and was won II Mr. Garnham, the runner-up being Mr. A. D. Robbie. The result of the game was: — First round: G. Plimmer beat C. Renner; 11. Palmer beat R. 11. Stickney; D. Helper beat Patrick; Howard beat W. Baker; Garnham beat Wilkinson; A. D. Robbie beat Deare; Sheehey beat Mclntyre. Second round: Garnham beat Plimmer; Palmer beat How ard; Helper beat Sheehey: Robbie, a bye. Third round: Robbie beat Palmer: Garnham beat Helper. Final: Garnham beat Robbie. It was a well-han-dicaimed and exciting game.
