Auckland, February 25.

The professional featherweight boxing contest between Johnnie Leckie (Dunedin) and Matt Hatton (Auckland), drew a record attendance to the Town Hall to-night. Hatton won the first two rounds, but Leckie sent him down for eight twice in the third, nnd then the referee intervened, saving the Aucklander from being completely knocked out. He awarded the fight to Leckie on a technical knock-out. Leckia will leaxa iar Sydney on Friday.
