PARIS MURDER TRIAL

UNPRECEDENTED SCENE Australian Press Association. Paris, February 24. There was an unprecedented scene when a woman under sentence of death appeared in prison garb and gave evidence against another murderess. The condemned woman stated in evidence that Madame Vallee, who was charged with the murder of a farmer, confessed to her in the prison cell that she shot the farmer, but it was the fault of her husband. Largely on this evidence Madame Vallee was found guilty and sentenced to death, and her husband to life imprisonment. Throughout the trial husband and, wife accused each other of the crime.
