OPPORTUNITY FOR LOCAL manufacturers

An interesting announcement was made by the Prime Minister (Right Hon, Sir Joseph Ward) yesterday concerning the supply of tobacco to mental hospitals and prisons. Sir Joseph Ward stated that tl;e tenders which were now being called for this supply had been altered and extended, and Cabinet had revised the conditions in order to allow the New Zealand tobacco manufacturers to compete.
