LAYING OF FOUNDATIONSTONE

At 3 p.m. to-morrow the foundation stone of the new Wellington Synagogue will be laid on the site of the,old oneon Wellington Terrace. The ceremony will commence with recital-' of the 118th Psalm, beginning, “I will give thanks unto Thee, for Thou hast answered me, and art become my salvation.” After this the foundation stone will be laid by the. Rev. H. van Staveren. Then will follow the 100th Psalm—“AU People that on Earth do Dwell,” etc. succeeded by a prayer for the Royal Family. After the -prayer (by the Rabbi), the 22nd Psalm will be recited by the Rev. Ch. Pltkowsky (Assistant Rabbi). Mr. M. M. Heineman (treasurer of the Synagogue) will then deliver an address, after which, in conclusion, a prayer for the King’s recovery will be offered.
