MAN SHOT BY WIFE
LIGHT ON PSYCHOLOGY OF PASSION (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) Paris, January 25. Lurid light ou the psychology of crimes and passions in France was revealed in the trial of Madame Godin at the Assize Court at Riom on a charge of murderin 0 ’ her husband. Madame Godin was divorced before she m.’trired Godin, and was the mother of two grown-up girls. She bought her second husband a business, but be was lazy and addicted to women. There were continual quarrels, and finally He so angered his wife that she pulled a loaded revolver from her stocking, anil, holding her husband with her right hand, shot him with the left, in the presence of her daughters, who did not intervene. When her husband fell the wife bent over the dead body and said : “Poor devil. I should like to kiss you, but I can’t.
