The “Daily Mail's” Dublin correspondent states that not since the Anglo-Irish treaty, signed seven years ago, has the Free State’s future been more bright. Stable government is established, crime has diminished remarkably, and trade is on the upgrade. A year ago the country’s adverse balance was more than sixteen millions. At the end of November it had fallen to twelve millions, as a result of reduced imports and increased exports. Irish eggs, butter and bacon now command top price on the English market. Tourist booking to Ireland has begun in many United States centres. Six liners called at Galway during the season, where there were none a few years ago. _____
