GIANT AIRSHIP
BEING CONSTRUCTED BY GERMANY FOR SCIENTIFIC EXPEDITION (United Service.) (Rec. January 2, 11.45 p.m.) London, January 1. The German Government is constructing an airship for an expedition, six times the size of the Italia, equipped with wireless, capable of carrying thirty-five men. with German leaders, and fifteen scientists. Special instruments will take special soundings from the airship. Oceanography, fish, and plant life will be studied. t
