WEDDING.

A wedding of interest to Wellington took place at St. James’s Church, Sydney, on December 12, when the Bishop of Qippsland. the Right Rev. H. G. Cranswick, performed the ceremony of marriage between Charles Sydney Grear, of Wellington, eldest son of the late Mr. Henry Edward Grear, of Manchester and Sydney, and Mrs. Grear. of Wellington, and Cbrystal, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Gilder, of Kanimbela, I’ymblc, New South Wales. The bride,' who was given away by her father, wore a gown of cream and gold lame, the skirt cut long at the back and the bodice trimmed with rhinestones and finished'with a large bow lined with gold tissue and finished with a rhinestone buckle. A long train of tulle fell from the shoulders, and she wore a tulle veil and carried a sheaf of lilies. The bridesmaid, Miss Marjorie Nettleton, wore a frock of promrose chiffon, with irregular hemline, and trimmed with chiffon poppies in two shades. She wore a gold turban. Rosemary Gilder, the bride’s niece, was flower girl, also wearing a frock of primrose chiffon. The bridegroom was attended by Mrs. G. Hamparsum. A reception was held at the Wentworth Hotel, where Mrs. Gilder received the guests. Mrs. Grear, mother of the bridegroom, was in black chantilly lace over beige chiffon. When the bride and bridegroom left for their honeymoon the former wore cyclamen taffetas in two shades and coat of cyclamen lame. Mr. and Mrs. Grear will live in Wellington. * • •
