EARTHQUAKE
TREMOR AT HOKITIKA. Dy Telegraph.—Press Association. Hokitika, December 31. A sharp shock of earthquake was experienced at Hokitika just before seven o’clock to-night. Crockery was rattled about. The tremor lasted 20 seconds, and was apparently travelling from cast to west. SHAKE AT WESTPORT. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) Westport, December 31. A sustained earthquake was experienced at Westport at 6.55 p.m.
