An Auckland tramway motorman some days ago picked up a bundle of notes, and to his astonishment, he found that the total sum in the bundle amounted to £2OO. He returned the money to the woman, who expressed her pleasure, and presented the tramwayman with the miserable sum of Is. 9d. The Auckland “Sun” recalls a similar case, which occurred in I'onsonby some years ago. A woman who had lost £4OO, and had it returned to her, presented the finder, a bov, with a drink of lemonade.
