IN PERIL AGAIN POINCARE EXPECTED TO RESIGN (Australian Press Association.) (Rec. December 30, 5.5 p.m.) Paris, December 29. The Ministry is regarded as again in peril. M. Poincare opposed the raising of the salaries of deputies. Senators left the Senate before the debate, when the proposal was carried by 140 to 107. The Chamber of Deputies bad already approved of the measure. Discontent also has been worked up because M. Poincare refused to lend his authority to shield M. Klotz or stifle possible reactions in the “Gazette du France” scandal. There remains the religious question, which is always a danger to the Ministry. London, December 29.
