BUILDING CLOSER RELATIONS WITH FOREIGN COUNTRIES

December 28, 8.50 p.m.) New York, December 28. * Mr. Herbert Hoover, Presidentelect, returning from Hampton Roads on the U.S.S. Utah, stated that one of his major ambitions will be to build up closer relations between America and foreign countries by the use of Navy ships, which are likely to be seen in foreign ports on friendly missions much more frequently during the Hoover administration than ever before.
Mr. Hoover reiterated his belief that the Navy had a peace mission which was as important as its part in the national defence.
