YESTERDAY’S PRIZETAKERS NORTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING Dominion Special Service. Wanganui, December 27.

The North Island Rifle Championship meeting was opened on the Putiki range this morning. Riflemen were present from all part ; s of the Dominion, and included E. King (Wanganui, the present New Zealand'champion). A. Ballinger,'James, R. J. King, and Captain Masefield, all ex-champions.

A tricky wind blowing down the gully made the going hard for competitors. The arrangements were well up to standard, thanks to Captain Dixon and his staff.
