CITIZENS CALLED UP FOR INSTRUCTION (Australian Press Association.) (Rec. December 27, 9.50 p.m.) London, December 26. The “Manchester Guardian’s” Constantinople correspondent states that Angora has ordered the calling up on January 1 of all Turkish citizens between 16 and 40 years for instruction In reading and writing in the reformed language. The class-rooms will be beflagged, and speeches will emphasise the importance of universal literacy and bands will play the national anthem. Heads of families may engage to teach members and husbands may teach wives, but all must undergo public examinations,
