FIRE IN MELBOURNE FLATS
MAN SEVERELY BURNED

Melbourne, December 27.
A lire occurred in a large residential building in St. Kilda Road to-day and destroyed fourteen of thirty-two flats known as Florida Flats. There were several thrilling rescues. Firemen brought out a number of women, and found Clive Delaney, 34 years of age. groping his way through smoke at the top of the staircase and. sent him down the fire-escape, but not before he had been severely burned on the face and arms. He was sent to hospital.
