TO-DAY’S WEATHER FORECAST.

Meteorological Office, Wellington, December 27, 4 p.m. An anti-cyclone now envelops most of the Dominion with Its centre located 'east of the South Island. A shallow cyclone is moving northwards of New Zealand. Strong easterly winds, reaching gale force at places north of Kawhia and East Cape; elsewhere moderate to strong south-east to east and later northerly winds. Seas rather rough north of Kaikoura and off the YVest Coast of the North Island; elsewhere moderate. Strong easterly winds in the northern portion of the eastern Tasman Sea with rough seas; moderate to strong easterly to northerly winds in the southern portion with moderate seas. Weather cloudy and unsettled in the northern districts of the North Island with further rain at places. Elsewhere chiefly fair to cloudy, but later unsettled conditions developing on the West Coast south of Cape Egmont. Temperatures becoming warmer.
