ANCIENT RITES
PERFORMED BY JAPANESE EMPEROR (Australian Press Association.) Toklb, December 25. The Emperor Hirohito observed the second anniversary of his assumption of Imperial power with simple memorial services for the soul of the late Emperor. Both the Emperor and Empress performed ancient Shinto rites to show their reverence and that of the nation.
