ADL PLAY ABANDONED YESTERDAY.
Owing to the rain yesterday it was impossible to commence the annual tournament of the Wellington Bowling Centre on the Hutt, Karori, Island Bay, and Khandallah greens. The present prospects for better weather are not at all favourable, but if the weather cleats in time a start will be made to-day With the first round on the greens as fixed in the programme for yesterday. Curiously enough, on the occasion of the last Dominion tournament here, the Wellington Centre encountered similar conditions, and after playing only a coiiple of rounds, the tournament had to be abandoned. It. is hoped that Such will not be the case this week.
