A ROMANCE OF JOURNALISM.
A history of the career of “The Pastoral Review,” the well-known Australian stock journal, has just been published. It is from the pen of Mr. A. W. Pearce, founder, one-time editor, and present managing director of the firm. „ “It is not claiming too much to say, states the author, "that ‘The Pastoral Review’ is unique in many ways. It is the only paper with special expert correspondents in Great Britain and rival pastoral countries. It is the only paper combining a summary of all pastoral information from foreign countries, and for tliirtv-seven years it has carried out its promise to fight for the man on the land, to fight Socialism, Communisim, and every other ‘ism,’ and is still doing so. The ‘Review’ is a paper, replete with news, that Australians can well be proud of. It owes its birth, youth, and now mature age, to Australia, and being worldwide, makes the affairs of this country known everywhere.” . At the Argentine Centenary Exhibition, in 1910, the “Review” obtained the silver medal, and at Roubaix, in France, in 1911, the bronze medal for being the best wool and stock paper.
