The first day of the Oamaru Jockey Club’s summer meeting was held on the remodelled course to-day in fine weather. Tlie track was in excellent order after rain, but there was a .poor attendance, and the totalisator handled £6701, against £12,071 last year, when a one-day meeting was held ou a wet Saturday at Wingatui.
