GOVERNOR-GENERAL’S KINDLY THOUGHT. Although it was a long time since he had left school, said His Excellency the Governor-General (Sir Charles Fergusson). at the "break-up” ceremony of Wellesley College last night, he had not forgotten everything he had learnt there. "One thing that I learnt,” he said, ‘‘was that everyone who came to the school was expected to ask for a holiday. I am now going to ask Mr. Russell to put the Governor-General's holiday “in the bank” for you.” .The day could be taken off. said His Excellency, next year on some occasion when it would be especially acceptable.
