FROZEN MEAT TRADE
TWO MONTHS’ EXPORTS INCREASED KILLINGS OF LAMB The frozen meat export trade of the Dominion has not yet got into its stride for the current season, according to the returns supplied by the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board. Shipments of mutton and lamb for October and November were well below those during the corresponding months of last year, but. there were big increases in beef and pork. The shipments of frozen meat from the Dominion during the first two months of the current season, October 1 to November 30, afford the following comparison with those for the corresponding period of last year:—
ver 1,800 — 4 — The whole of last season’s October and November shipments went to London and the West Coast of the United Kingdom. This year, it will be seen, most of the beef has been shipped to New York, Vancouver, and Halifax. Killings and Stocks. The killings for export nt all works for the two months, October 1 to November 30, 1928, show considerable increases in lamb and pork, and reductions in mutton and beef. The Dominion
