DUISBURG LOCK-OUT
STEEL-WORKERS’ CASE LABOUR COURT REVERSES DECISION (United Service.) Berlin, November 25. The Provincial Labour Court at Duisburg reversed the decision in the steel workers’ case. The employers are appealing to the Supreme Labour Court. In consequence of the employers’ intention to appeal against the legal decision at Duisburg, the Ruhr steel works are not expected to reopen in the present year. Despite the Central Government’s grant of one million sterling to relieve distress, the position is most serious for the municipalities. Dusseldorf is pa.ving relief to a quarter of its inhabitants, and stoppages in other industries in consequence of the steOl lock-out are increasing.
