EXTENSIVE OPERATIONS (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Invercargill, July 10. For some time considerable trade in illicit whisky has been carried on in Southland. As a result of a search at Awarua Bay, the police discovered an illicit still in a secluded spot. The plant showed that operations had been conducted on an extensive scale. Sev-. eral large casks of matured liquor and others in various stages of fermentation were seized by the police, who secured a clue which will result in a prosecution.
