The annual conference of the New Zealand Booksellers’ Association to-day elected the following officers for Iho ensuing year: President, Mr. G. H. Bennett (Palmerston North); vice-presidents, Messrs H. J. Edmiston (Auckland) B. E. 11. Whitcombs (Christchurch), W. J. Osborn (Wellington), 11. L. Humphreys (Dunedin); committee, Messrs. C. W. Poynter (Wanganui), A. J. Coveney (Christchurch), 11. E. Hither (Masterton), n. G. Carman (Eltham), 11. H. Driver (Dunedin), C. G Swallow (Palmerston North), C. A. Innes (Wellington) L. Whitcombe (Wellington), N. L. Aitken (Wellington), R. C. O’Connor Wellington); honorary auditor, Mr. \v. J. Osborn; representative on Advisory Board, New Zealand Employers’ I'ederation, Mr. Osborn. The eighth annual conference will be held at Christchurch on January 16,.17. and 18, 19:19. Messrs. .Bennett (Palmerston North) and South (Wellington) wore appointed to represent tho association at the fifth annual Conference of associated booksellers of Australia and New Zealand, to bo held at Adelaide in March.
