The citv's unemployed show an in crease in numbers to-dav, the total being 190, the highest for some weeks Of the applications this morning, several were from farm workers who were found positions ■in the country, but who refused to go to them, considering 30s. per week for ploughmen and 20s. for youths inadequate remuneration. The skilled trades are not affected greatly. Most of the men registering are labourers and farm workers. The Citizens l ueinp oi mert Relief Fund has been exhausted CHRISTCHURCH TO RAISE LOAN.
