“MASTER OF ITALY”
THE ROLE OF MUSSOLINI (Rec. March 28, 11.5 p.m.) London, March 28. The seventh anniversary of Fascism was celebrated throughout Italy. It was announced that Signor Mussolini himself would review the Rome Federation of Fascists, and issue a message to the nation. .The “Observer’s” Rome correspondent, in a singularly frank article, says: “Mussolini stands forth to-day as the real master of Italy. He has a position held by no other Premier. People are imprisoned for speaking ill of him, and drastic laws protect him from harm. His ambition is not merely to be a party leader Premier, but to change completely the whole spirit of Italy. To understand the atmosphere surrounding the ‘Duce’ of the Fascism festival, one must go back to the days of Caesar.”
