JHARYLEBONE TIJAM. ON TOUR BEATEN by BARBADOS Barbados, January 6. The Maryleboile touring team was beaten by Barbados by an innings and 73 runs. Marylebone in the first innings made 151 (Roy Kiluer 45), Griffiths taking five wickets for 50 runs, and in the second were all out for 65, Fiancis taking six wickets for 21 runs. A MOTOR JAUNT VISITING TEAMS ENTERTAINED. On Sunday last, tho Wellington Gas Company’s cricket club took the members of the Christchurch Gas Company s team and the members of the Auckland Suburban Cricket Association's team lor a motor trip to Paekakariki. A pleasant time was spent on the beach, where refreshments were provided. The return journey via Moonshine Valley was enjoyed bv the visitors, but most of them breathed a sigh of relief when level ground was reached. One Christchurch man remarked that he would not have missed the run down the hill for =£<i, but that he would not risk it again for JJSO. A stop was made at Trenthani Racecourse, where the manager of the Christchurch team (Mr. Bolds) thanked the Wellington Gas Company’s Cricket Club for making their stay so thoroughly enjoyable. Mr. A. Davis (secretary of the Wellington Gas Company s Cricket Club) referred to tile hospitality the Christchurch people had showered upon the Wellington team when in Christchurch last year, and said it was a pleasure to have a chance of paying a little of tho debt back. Tho tour was a most enjoyable one, and the visitors greatly admired the scenery from the top of Paekakariki Hill and along the Moonshine and Hutt Valleys. TEAMS FOR TO-MORROW.
