A CALIFORNIAN GIANT I That giant of the Californian forests, the famous Redwood tree, is now being planted in New Zealand on an extensive scale by a newly-formed company— The New Zealand ’ Redwood Forests, Ltd.—a company whose directors are all practical Timber and Financial men. Debentures of £35 each, bearing interest at the rate of 3J per cent, per annum, plus 90' per cent, of the profits from the Forests, are now being issued. Redwood sells to-day at a higher price than kauri or totara, and it is an entirely fire-resisting wood. Debentures may be purchased on exceptionally easv terms.
